Personal Trainer

why use a personal trainer

Having a personal trainer is something that I recommend to every new gym member, the benefits to your experience in the gym outweighs the costs.  The importance of our service is that you will be shown how to use all equipment, have an understanding of the different movements with an understanding of what muscles you are targeting.  I will be the first trainer to say that any movement is better than no movement at all, as long as you are moving your body!  What you need to realise is this, the risk of injury increases if we are not doing movements correctly and our ability to progress can be hindered.

You must be ready and willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone to make a lasting change.

  • Optimise your workout time.
  • Ensure the proper form is being maintained.
  • Accurate assessment.
  • Accountability.
  • Top athletes have trainers, why not you?
  • A trainer will push you beyond your comfort zone.
  • Programmes designed for your needs.
  • Encouragement
  • You won’t push yourself the same way a trainer will.
  • Personalisation.
  • Motivation.
  • Body fat loss.
  • Muscle Gain.

personal trainer - Danny burt

Hi my name is Danny Burt and I am a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness here in Cambridge, I have been involved in the sporting industry most of my life, having made representative honours in Rugby, Rugby League and Touch Football as a junior.  I have been active most of my life with running, swimming, karate and atheletics. I have also been extremely overweight, yes that is right, I was considered to be in the obese range and it was only years later when I lost all that weight that I realised I got myself into that state due to my mental health.  So my life experience and what I have done to change can help you achieve and reach your goals.

You must be ready and willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone to make a lasting change.

Getting Results

Achieving the results that you want is one of the most important and fundamental aspects for any client to consider when choosing a personal trainer.  We urge you to come and meet us, ask lots of questions and get a feel for what we offer and then follow your gut feeling; choose what feels right for you at the time.

One of the key things to consider when looking for a personal trainer would be finding a trainer who is passionate about their industry, this will be a key indicator of the type of trainer they are. A passionate trainer wants to see you get the results you signed up for and if you don’t get the result, you should consider choosing a new trainer.

Remember, a personal trainer can pass their knowledge on to you, but to get the best results for yourself my recommendation for you would be for you to remember your goals and give 100% effort.

My Strenghts

Each trainer that you meet has their own strengths and background to their health and fitness journey.

The strengths that I offer as a personal trainer are based on my experience gained over a lifetime, the one to one session you have with me will test and push you to your limits, but I will never give you exercises that I haven’t done in the past.

Some of the things I really like are functional fit movements for improved fitness and weight loss, this method of training has been proven to be one of the greatest ways to lose fat fast if done consistently.  I have also competed in Bodybuilding in Physique and Fitness through the ICN and INBA federations, this is a sport that I took up later in life and I absolutely love it because of the people you meet and the commitment and dedication it takes.
